Common issues
If you have issues running the scripts, check this first!
-
Photoshop version 27.6, released in April 2026, introduced breaking changes to how ExtendScript works and prevented Poserframes version 5.4.0 from running. I released Poserframes version 5.4.1 on the Gumroad product page (you can find it in your Gumroad library); it has fixed the issue for a number of users. If it doesn’t work for you, let me know. A reliable workaround is to roll back Photoshop to the previous working version and keep that version installed alongside newer Photoshop releases.

Make sure you’re running the scripts on JPEG or TIFF images in sRGB color space. Also make sure your images are flattened (no layers, paths or alpha channels).
-
Make sure the script name is available in the Photoshop menu File/Automate. If it isn’t, the script file (
Poserframes.jsx,HalcyonDays.jsx,Wallflower.jsx, orSilhouettes.jsx) is not in the scripts folder belonging to the currently running version of Photoshop. This happens when you update Photoshop to a new major version, since user added script files aren’t automatically moved to the new scripts folder. It can also happen when you have more than one version of Photoshop installed.
Other known issues:
- The scripts won’t run, or do so unreliably, in Photoshop’s Image Processor. I suggest using droplets for batching instead.
- Halcyon Days and Wallflower unfortunately only works with your Photoshop interface set to English, due to how the app handles channel names in Lab color mode.

When problems occur, the best place to ask for help is in the Poserframes user group on Facebook. Others might have better answers than I do and others may benefit from the solutions. If you prefer not to use Facebook, contact me at poserframes@hertze.se.
